2018 Save The Date For The Best Wine/Food Show of the Year!
Western’s 29th Annual Wine & Food Festival is set for Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6PM-9Pm at the Birmingham Zoo.
Incredibly, what started out as a wine party in a local doctor’s backyard some 29 years ago, has evolved into the largest wine tasting in the state, and in the last 5 years has generated over $150,000 for local organizations. Western has added another beneficiary this year, The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, to share in the proceeds along with The Birmingham Zoo, Emmet O’Neal Library, East Lake Initiative, and Junior League of Birmingham. All of the organizations participate in the different roles of planning, marketing, and operating the event along with Western’s staff and vendor community. This year our focus is improving the overall quality of the 500 plus wines to taste, along with adding new food vendors and their unique local offerings. In addition to the wine and food, we’ll have carousel rides, raffle prizes, zoo animals walking about (with a leash), and take home your “unbreakable” free souvenir Govino glass.
Also – the best holiday wine deals of the year will be listed in your event catalog available to order at Western Mountain Brook & Rocky Ridge locations through October 6.
