Meat Cutter positions available at Western Supermarkets in the Birmingham, AL
area. Experience in cutting to customer’s order and from cutting lists is helpful,
but we are also willing to train employees who might have minimal experience
and are willing to learn the trade. Must be able to stand for entire shift, must
be able to tolerate a refrigerated work environment, must be at least 18 years
of age. Both part and full time positions available, with corresponding tiers
of benefits offered. Pay is weekly and based on experience; advancement is

Western Supermarkets’ Mountain Brook Floral Shop is seeking a part time floral clerk. Do you like people and plants? If you are outgoing, bubbly, can talk to our customers, like plants and have some basic floral design skills, we want to talk to you about this position. Western Supermarkets’ Mountain Brook deli Cheese Shop has a growth opportunity in cheese retail. We are looking for a foodie–someone who enjoys talking to customers about their food/beverage preferences in order to suggest the perfect cheese. Our new Cheesemonger will sell, order, cut, and wrap cheese in our current Cheese Shop as well as do tastings and samplings for customers. A year’s experience in working with wheels of cheese is a requirement, with retail cheese sales experience helpful. Part-time Clerks needed for the Deli in Western Supermarkets’ Vestavia Hills store on Rocky Ridge Road.  Previous experience in an upscale deli or restaurant environment is helpful, but a cheerful attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to talk to our customers is also very important.  Western is a local, independent grocery store chain that has been serving the Metro Birmingham area for over 60 years.  The Vestavia Hills store location has a fast-paced, full-service deli.  Employees who learn and work have the potential to grow with Western.  Beginning pay is based on experience.  Part-time tier of benefits is available.  E.O.E.
